I told her no matter how a disease is transmitted, you still need to protect yourself and get the shot. You never know what can happen. It's like someone running around saying, "I'm not getting that shot, I don't want the state telling me I can't have measles." It's a matter of public health. Would you get the shot if it was for breast cancer? And you don't have to get any immunizations you don't want to. But if you kid goes to public school, she will.
