    I was hunkered down in the compound with a little Vietnamese kid named Wing Ling. We had stocked it with plenty of provisions enough for at least a week or until the Russians attacked or Al Gore became president.

    At precisely 7:30 AM Wing opens up a can of peanut butter of which I am highly alergic and commences to spread it all over his body and start doing the dance of peacock worship right there in the compound.

    I immediately started to itch and now can’t be around peacocks or small Vietnamese children.
