You were looking for what we all are and we so want to believe we that we find it. I got in a hurry to get my EX before some other girl got her claws into him. I should have taken my time and really gotten to know him before I married him. You see, someother girl got her claws in him anyway in the end. So rushing to get him didn't do me any good at all. Everyone puts on a great show in the beginning, but they can't keep it up over the long haul. Take your time and let him be him. Then you will know. No, you were never stupid. Don't beat yourself up. The older I get the more I see the value in getting to know people and, more importantly, refining what I will and won't accept from people. I think what's also important is knowing when I lie to myself. Constantly asking, "Is this really you, do you really believe this, if you do, would you act this way?" Now I'm feeling deep and in touch with my id so I need to make a joke to lighten things up. ~Jef I realy thought I knew people as well.
