I found your blog on the Chronicle’s site several months ago and have been admired you from the beginning if for know other reason than your relating of your experiences and tough decisions have helped validate a very tough decision that I made two years ago.
I have been where you are right now…..do not concede to the pressure, do not let yourself get dragged down the slippery slope of dead end jobs when you know you have the skills (and smarts) to be on that higher plane again.
The point of this is to say “Thank you”. I would cherish the opportunity to return the favor. You have my email.
I just wish you’d call me so I don’t have to read about your life on the *@&#^%* internet! Is your mom there yet? Maybe I should just call her from now on.
