I also had a habit of leaving someone before they had a chance to leave me, pick a fight, start being a bitch, whatever. I would sabotage the relationship, and move on to the one who was waiting, watching it fall apart. It was all my doing. Now I'm alone, but I love it, still I wonder what if sometimes. What if I had just stuck it out with some of the really good guys I had. My friends used to say I always had one “waiting in the wings”. My sister just got divorced. After they started the process, I spoke with each of them separately and found out they were saying all this stuff to me that they weren't saying to each other. They were letting go with me, and avoiding fights between themselves. I told them they weren't communicating, but it was too late. They were avoiding conflict and discomfort, protecting each other from reality rather than dealing with it. Now the secrets are safe but the marriage is gone. Especially if the two have known each other longer than the marriage.
